Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
These terms cover your use of Tabtile, a window manager for macOS, and of a subscription to it. Tabtile is made by crazycorp (“we”, “us”), who can be reached at [email protected]. By downloading or using Tabtile you agree to these terms.
1. The app
Tabtile works with a subscription or a Lifetime license, priced on the pricing page. When you first sign in to Tabtile on a Mac with a Google account, every feature is available for 3 days at no charge and without a payment method. After that, Tabtile arranges windows only while a subscription or license is active; your presets and settings are kept. Each account gets these 3 days once.
Beta. Tabtile is currently distributed as a beta: it may contain errors, and it may be published by another developer on our behalf. We may end the beta. We will tell you in the app at least 14 days in advance and ask you to download the release version. Once the beta ends, the beta version stops arranging windows. Your presets, settings and paid subscription carry over to the release version when you sign in with the same Google account; the time you have paid for is not lost.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Tabtile on devices you own or control. A subscription belongs to the Google account it was bought with and works on 2 devices at a time; more devices can be added for the fee shown on the pricing page. The account that bought the subscription can also add other users by their email address; each of them gets 2 more devices, for the fee shown on the pricing page. You may not resell or share an account's subscription, reverse engineer Tabtile to remove its subscription checks, or redistribute Tabtile.
3. Purchases and the reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Dodo Payments, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders. Dodo Payments handles payment, billing, taxes and customer service inquiries about orders, and its terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in US dollars, excluding tax; depending on the buyer’s country, sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout.
4. Subscriptions
- The monthly subscription is billed every month and the yearly one every year, in advance, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email. Cancelling stops future payments; the subscription stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
- Devices and users added during a monthly period are charged from the next payment. During a yearly period, the rest of the year is charged right away when it comes to $3 or more, and otherwise from the next payment. Removing a device or a user lowers the price from the next period; until then the place stays yours.
- If a payment fails, the subscription may stop until the payment succeeds.
- We may change subscription prices for future periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.
5. Lifetime license
A Lifetime license is a single payment. It includes every feature of Tabtile version 1 and every 1.x update. A future major version (2.0 and later) may be offered as a paid upgrade; your version 1 license keeps working. Extra devices and users for a Lifetime license are one-time purchases too.
6. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable. Details are in the refund and cancellation policy.
7. Permissions and your Mac
Tabtile moves and resizes the windows of other apps through macOS Accessibility, and, if you allow Screen Recording, takes short-lived pictures of windows to animate their moves. You choose whether to grant these permissions and can remove them in System Settings at any time.
8. Updates and changes
We may update Tabtile to fix problems, add features or keep up with macOS. Features may change over time; we will not remove a feature from a version you have already paid for.
9. No warranty
Tabtile is provided “as is”. We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or work with every app, display or version of macOS.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of Tabtile. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Tabtile in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Ending
You may stop using Tabtile at any time. We may end the subscription on an account that is used in breach of these terms, for example one shared publicly.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes will be announced on this site.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without prejudice to the consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
