Tiles for your Mac's windows
Draw a preset once and Tabtile keeps your windows in it: dividers that move both neighbours, stacks with tabs, and a preset for every desktop and every display.
Free for 3 days, no card needed. Then a subscription from $2.49 a month. macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
What it does
Tabtile lives in the menu bar and moves windows through macOS Accessibility. It never fights macOS's own tiling: when macOS puts a window back after Mission Control, Tabtile returns it to its tile.
Tiles you draw
Split the screen into tiles in the editor and give each tile its apps. Their windows go where they belong.
Dividers between windows
Drag the gap between two windows and both follow. An outline shows where they will go; they glide there when you let go.
Stacks with tabs
Several apps share one tile, with a switcher on its edge that brings the one you pick to the front.
A preset per desktop and display
Each desktop keeps its own preset, and the same desktop can have a different one on a monitor and on the laptop.
Smart preset
One shortcut lays out the windows on screen. The app you use most gets the middle of a wide display.
Smooth window moves
Windows glide into place instead of jumping, and their pictures blend into the real windows as they land.
Built-in display turns off
Turn the built-in screen off while a monitor is connected, and get it back the moment the monitor goes away.
Remembers your monitors
Display modes, rules and where windows stood come back when a monitor is plugged in again or the Mac wakes up.
Friendly to Terminal
Apps that size in rows and columns get tiles of whole rows, so there are no gaps and no overlaps.

Questions
Which permissions does Tabtile need?
Accessibility, to move and resize windows. Screen Recording only for smooth glides: Tabtile pictures the windows for the animation, keeps the pictures in memory for its length and drops them right after.
Does Tabtile collect my data?
No. There are no analytics. Your presets and the time spent in apps stay on your Mac. Tabtile goes online only for your account — signing in and checking your subscription — and for updates. See the privacy policy.
What happens when the trial ends?
Tabtile stops arranging windows until you subscribe. Your presets and settings stay where they are: once you pay, everything works as before.
How do I subscribe?
Sign in to Tabtile with your Google account and subscribe in the app — it turns on right away. To buy on this page, sign in with the same Google account first. A subscription covers 2 devices, and you can add more; sign out on one Mac to free its place for another.
Can I add other users to my subscription?
Yes. Add users by their email in your Tabtile account: whoever signs in to Tabtile with that Google account gets every feature and 2 more devices. Removing a user lowers the price from the next payment.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Any time, from the link in your receipt email. The subscription stays active until the end of the period you paid for; then Tabtile stops arranging windows and keeps your presets and settings.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are non-refundable, so Tabtile is free to try for 3 days before you buy — no card needed. See the refund and cancellation policy.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
